1. Q. What is The Institute for Social and Emotional Learning (ISEL)?
   
   A. ISEL offers home study courses in online and mail order learning formats to healthcare providers for their recertification or license renewal, continuing education needs. All of the courses are accredited, and completing them is quick and easy.
   
   
2. Q. Why should I use ISEL?
   
   A. Today more and more professional are busy working, attending school, and or taking care of our families. ISEL is designed to help make educational learning easy and fast as well as informative.
   
   
3. Q. What if I do not have a computer or a checking account?
   
   A. If you do not have a computer or a checking account, or if you would rather have the same classes in a book form; you can call me direct at 815-603-2425 and I will mail a hard copy of the class to you for the same fee of $45 plus a shipping and handling fee of $4.99.
   
   
4. Q. What is the cost of the online classes?
   
   A. Each class only costs $45 for five continuing education hours, plus a shipping and handling fee of $4.99.
   
   
5. Q. Why am I paying a shipping and handling fee?
   
   A. This is how you receive your certificate. You can send it certified to Polly Vaughn P.O. Box 2199, Kankakee, Illinois, 60901. Please enclose a copy of your receipt and ISEL will refund your mailing cost. ISEL will mail your certificate to the address that you provide. Please note only one copy per person, per class.
   
   
6. Q. Do I need to pay the credentialing boards for my CEU's?
   
   A. No. ISEL has obtained all you need to meet the requirements for CEU's with The Illinois Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Professional Certification Association, INC. (IAODAPCA). There is no need for you to make further payment for your CEU's.
   
   
7. Q. What is PayPal?
   
   A. PayPal is an on-line payment, merchant account designed to be safe and secure and an easy way to make online payments or setup a merchant account. ISEL has already made using PayPal easy at www.iselclasses.com

8. Q. Is there a fee for me to use PayPal?
   
   A. No, you do not pay a fee. ISEL handles that.
   
   
9. Q. Will IAODAPCA credentialing board rocognize these continuing education hours?
   
   A. Yes, The credentialing board for drug and alcohol counselors in the state of Illinois will allow 15 hours of home study every two years. ISEL's vision is to offer these classes, so please feel free to use ISEL for your total home study needs.
   
   
10. Q. Who has the credentialing board approved to take these classes in the state of Illinois?
    
    A. Counselors 1 or 11, CARS 1 or 11, MISA 1 or 11 or 111, CRSS 1 or 11, RDDP 1 or 11, PCGC 11, LCJP 11, NCRS 11, CAAP 1, BRI 11, MAATP 1 or 11
    
    
11. Q. How do I show that I have learned something from each class?
    
    A. A test is given at the end of each class. You will have two chances that you can take this exam.
    
    
12. Q. What happens if I do not pass the test the second time?
    
    A. If you do not pass the test after two tries you will have to re-register for the class.
    
    
13. Q. Is the test hard?
    
    A. No, the test is in the learning. If you read the class you can pass the test. Come on you can do it!!!
    
    
14. Q. How do I obtain my permanent certificate?
    
    
    1. When you are logging into the course page please use your real name as your user name. This will generate your name on your certificate.
    2. Each course has 3 areas for you to complete that must be followed in the order defined below:
       1. The reading material.
       2. The test
       3. The survey
    3. You have read the course material, passed the test and completed a short survey.
    4. You will need to send your mailing address to ISEL at MrsVaughn2000@aol.com. Please put ISEL as the subject of your email.
    5. You may also mail it to Dr. Polly Vaughn, P.O. Box 2199, Kankakee, IL 60901. Within 5-7 days a permanent certificate will be mailed to the address you provide.

    Please remember that you will be allowed 2 chances to pass the test with 70%. If you do not complete the test within that time you must register again. Once you are registered for the class you have 1 year to complete the course.
